The RCMP say a 28-year-old New Germany man is dead after his ATV rolled over in Maitland on Saturday evening.
RCMP spokesperson Dal Hutchinson says police responded to a rollover collision on a trail near the Northfield Road around 7 p.m.
He says the driver tried to drive over an embankment and lost control of the vehicle.
The ATV ended up rolling over the man.
Hutchinson says the man was with others.
Witnesses tried to revive the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police continue to investigate but say alcohol and speed were not factors.
