New Sign Promotes Shelburne History

A new sign in Shelburne recognizes its history.

It is located at the intersection coming into town from Highway 103 at Exit 26.

The sign features the union jack with directions pointing to the downtown, waterfront and the Black Loyalist Centre.

Mayor Karen Mattatall says she’s pleased to see the historical aspect included.

“It is representative of the Loyalists landing in Shelburne, which is a large tourist attraction for this area.”

More signs and banners are expected to be posted along Highway 103 and around town in the spring.
