No charges will be laid against a 20-year-old man after he was seen walking in Bridgewater with two pellet guns. Town police arrested the man last Friday and seized the weapons, which they believed were real firearms. Chief John Collyer says they determined the man had little knowledge of the Moncton shootings, didn’t threaten anyone with the guns and was apologetic. The incident put a couple local businesses on lockdown but there were no injuries. Collyer says it is not illegal to own a pellet gun but it is against town bylaw to use one within town limits.
