No Landslide, No Decision Yet

One of my favourite things to do is watch election coverage – it doesn’t matter whether it’s Canadian Federal politics, provincial politics, municipal politics or American elections.

This year was different. I barely caught ten minutes of the shenanigans going on stateside. Sure, I checked the status of the election when I got up early this morning, and as I expected (pessimistically) there was no landslide or decision yet.

It will probably be days if not weeks before final results are all tabulated and then the lawyers will fight it out in the courts to determine whose vote counts.

I think the lies and misinformation and just general craziness of the last four years have left me tired of politics. Or perhaps worries about the pandemic or the economy have put my interest in politics way down the list of things I care about.

How about you? Are you less interested in politics and elections now? How much coverage of the American election will you follow, or will you avoid it?
