Nova Scotia: Workplace Injuries Drop To All-Time Low

It’s a welcome sign for the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia.

The group is reporting that workplace injuries have declined to an all-time low.

There were 19 workplace fatalities last year – opposed to 34 in 2013.

CEO Stuart MacLean says they are seeing efforts within industries and sectors to ensure injury prevention.

Four of the five largest industries in Nova Scotia including fishing and construction also improved their injury rate.
