One Dead, Three Injured In Lunenburg County Crash

One person is dead after a fatal collision in Lunenburg County today.

Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on the Forties Road in New Ross at around 1 p.m.

The collision claimed the life of a 44-year-old woman.

The other two occupants in her vehicle were transported by EHS LifeFlight to the IWK Health Centre in Halifax.

RCMP say one has serious injuries and the other, non-life threatening injuries.

Their ages were not provided.

A 52-year-old woman and the driver of the other vehicle was transported by EHS to South Shore Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An RCMP collision analyst is on the scene and the road will remain closed throughout the evening.

The investigation is ongoing.

In a press release, the RCMP expressed their thoughts to the victim’s family.
