The first season under new ownership has come to an end at Osprey Ridge Golf Club in Bridgewater.
Co-owner and President, Bill Sampson says it’s gone better than he’d hoped.
He says the dry weather has meant lots of people on the green, but it also brought some unexpected challenges.
“I can’t believe how quickly this place gobbles up money going through things,” he says. “Like this year, especially with the drought, the watering of the course was a tremendous expense to the club.”
Sampson says he’s glad to see the beginning of the cold season which will allow them to focus on a few upgrades to the course.
He says since taking over they’ve spent well over $500,000 on golf carts and fixing up the clubhouse.
Sampson says 50 new members signed up this year and he’s excited to see what next season will bring.
