Federal support is being given to the former elementary school in Gold River.
South Shore – St. Margaret’s MP Gerald Keddy announcing over $75,000 to complete upgrades to the interior of the building.
Municipality of Chester Warden Allen Webber says it will help create community space.
“There will be several classrooms available to the community in excess of our needs immediately. The gymnasium space will be available immediately.”
Webber says the space will grow over time, once the building is fully renovated.
There will also be IT equipment installed including Wi-Fi internet services.
