PC Brand Hummus Recalled

There’s a recall issued for a type of hummus sold at several stores across the Maritimes.

President’s Choice Moroccan-Style Hummus is being recalled.

It comes in 280 gram containers with a best before date of June 14, 2015.

The recall was issued by Loblaw’s and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency because of fears the hummus might contain a toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria.

If you have the product in your fridge, throw it out or return to the store where you bought it.

The Hummus was sold in the Maritimes at Atlantic Superstores, No Frills, Save-Easy and Your Independent Grocer.

Its worth noting there have been no complaints or reports of illness associated with the product and its been taken off store shelves.
