Petroleum Analyst Sees Lower Gas Prices Ahead

Gasoline is costing more today across New Brunswick.

Regular self serve is up by 1.5 cents and diesel has increased by a cent.

The Utility and Review Board will set Nova Scotia gas prices at midnight tonight and they will likely increase about the same as New Brunswick.

Meanwhile, Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com expects we’ll start seeing some relief in the coming weeks.

He tells us: “We’re looking at movement toward lower prices likely right after the Memorial Day weekend for the Americans. After that, we’ll likely see more clearly prices trending downward to where they should be this time of year.”

You can still buy regular self serve around here today for $1.15.1 and diesel is at $1.09.4.
