Pine Grove Man’s Death Deemed Suspicious by RCMP

Police are investigating the death of a Lunenburg County man who passed away this weekend.

Lunenburg District RCMP say 57-year old Donny Lohnes of Pine Grove passed away from life threatening injuries on Sunday.

Police were informed Friday afternoon of Lohnes’ injuries, which had occurred days earlier on October 25th at a residence on Jippie Ave. in Pine Grove.

Andrew Joyce, public information officer says the death is suspicious due to the nature of his injuries and the lack of knowing how he got them.

However he was unable to share what the nature of those injuries were.

RCMP, with assistance from Southwest Nova Major Crime Team and the Bridgewater Police are leading the investigation into the details behind Lohnes’ death, and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them or the Nova Scotia Crimestoppers.
