Planned overnight power outage scheduled for parts of Lunenburg County

Nova Scotia Power has scheduled a planned overnight outage for parts of Lunenburg County this week as crews complete upgrades at the Auburndale substation.

The outage is set to begin at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning and is expected to last until 5 a.m.

Nova Scotia Power says the temporary shutdown is necessary to complete reliability upgrades aimed at improving service in the area.

Communities expected to be impacted include Waterloo Lake, East Dalhousie, Springfield, Newburne, Barss Corner, New Germany, Upper Northfield, East Clifford, Buckfield, Auburndale and parts of Bridgewater, along with nearby areas.

Customers are being encouraged to prepare in advance for the overnight outage.
