Planned Power Outage Coming For Bridgewater Area

People in the Bridgewater area will be waking up to blinking clocks on Sunday.

Nova Scotia Power has a planned a power outage scheduled between 5 and 6 a.m.

Spokesperson Tiffany Chase says it’s expected to affect around 13,000 customers.

“Those outages are required to allow our crews to safely conduct transmission line maintenance in that area. That’s around the High Street sub-station, the Auburndale sub-station, and Bridgewater East.”

Chase says people should shut down their electronics before they go to bed to avoid surge damage.

She says the interruption is only expected to last an hour.
