Planned Power Outage In Lunenburg

People in Lunenburg may want to throw an extra blanket on before going to bed tonight.

The town has scheduled a power outage between midnight and 6:00am.

Temperatures are expected to get down to minus eleven overnight, so plan accordingly.

Nova Scotia Power will be performing work near the substation and the town electric utility is taking the opportunity to replace components that may not last through winter.

The work had been scheduled for last weekend but NS Power had to cancel in order deal with power outages in other parts of the province.

The town has issued a release saying the work is being done to minimize future power disruptions.
