There will be pop-up rapid testing for COVID-19 in Liverpool over the next two days.
Testing is available at the Liverpool Legion on Sunday, March 21 and Monday, March 22 and is for people who are exhibiting no symptoms or are asymptomatic.
Appointments are not required and it is a drop in event.
People can go for tests on Sunday between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Monday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Meantime, public health is looking for volunteers to assist with holding the event. Volunteers do not have to be medical professionals as full training and mentoring is provided.
Where: Liverpool Legion (43 Henry Hensey Drive, Liverpool)
Time: Sunday March 21st (Public Hours -> 12:00pm-7:00)
Volunteering shift one: 11:00am – 3:15pm
Volunteering shift two: 2:45pm – 7:00pm
Monday March 22nd (Public hours 9:30-4:30)
Volunteering shift one: 8:30am – 1:00pm
Volunteering shift two: 12:30 – 4:45pm
All required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is supplied, and volunteers are trained on its proper use. Those interested in volunteering may complete the online application form.
