Power has been restored

A large power outage in Queens County has extended the March Break for some students.
Nova Scotia Power is reporting a wide-spread outage in the Greenfield, Upper Chelsea, North Brookfield and Caledonia areas.
The reason for the outage according to NSP is damage to equipment and the restoration time is estimated to be around 12:00 p.m.
The South Shore Regional Centre for Education has cancelled classes for the day at North Queens Community School and Greenfield Elementary
Buses have returned to those schools and are taking students home.
Due to a local power outage, students are being dismissed at North Queens Community School & Greenfield Elementary. Buses have returned to bring students home and school is cancelled for today (March 22)
