Power Outages Affect Southwest Nova Scotia

The wind and the rain haven’t caused too much havoc throughout Nova Scotia. Just over 1,000 residents in the Shelburne area have had their power restored. They were without power for two and a half hours due to damage to Nova Scotia Power equipment. It was first reported around 5am. Meanwhile, a small outage in the Yarmouth area is affecting just almost 200 homes. It was caused by trees falling on power lines. It occurred just after 6:30am. It’s expected to be restored before the noon hour.
