The Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation released their financial statements earlier today.
They say government coffers took in over $141 million dollars from gambling activities in 2015-16.
That’s a 14% bump over last year.
VLT gamblers account for almost a third of the money taken in.
They spent $132.5 million on the machines.
But Nova Scotians still love their lotto, spending $231 million on tickets this year.
That’s $23 million more than last year.
Casino revenues saw a slight increase, contributing almost $27 million to Nova Scotia’s bottom line last year.
