The Region of Queens is the latest South Shore municipality to lower the pride flag to honour victims from the Orlando attacks.
Mayor Christopher Clarke issued a statement on behalf of council stating “Our hearts go out to the LBGTQ community in the wake of the Orlando shootings.”
The pride flag on the Liverpool waterfront has been lowered.
Clarke goes on to say the “Region of Queens Municipality is a welcoming community, and will continue to welcome and embrace all.”
The Town of Shelburne earlier today lowered their flag to half mast.
The Town of Bridgewater also lowered their pride flag to half mast at Shipyards Landing.
