Queens Place Emera Centre Locked Down After Threat

Queens Place Emera Centre was locked down this evening after a threat was made against someone inside the facility.

Our newsroom is still awaiting more details, however RCMP spokesperson Corporal Lisa Croteau, says the lock down began at around 6:30 and was lifted at around 7:30 or so.

She says there was an outside threat to someone who was inside the Liverpool building.

As a precaution Queens District RCMP locked down QPEC.

A hockey game was happening at the time as a part of the Gary Wentzell Hockey Tournament.

No one was hurt and the investigation is ongoing.

QPEC will be shut down the rest of the evening.
