Principal Jennifer Spencer-Weare says the field is used for many physical activities throughout the school day.
She says it’s a disappointing situation.
“We work hard to have these opportunities available for our students and to know that somebody has senselessly gone out and made this destruction on our field has really impacted the kids.”
She adds, kids are really upset and don’t understand why someone would damage their playing field.
Spencer-Weare says it’s unlikely the field will be able to be used again this current school year.
This is sad. Was there today listening to youth on what they need for recreation. To see this is heartbreaking! https://t.co/MTUZhXOEMZ
