Queens RCMP Looking For Mischief-Makers

Queens County RCMP is looking for help finding the people responsible for damage to Privateer Park along Henry Hensey Drive in Liverpool.

Constable Rob James says some time over the weekend of September 3-5 several tree limbs were cut off and decorative garden bricks were thrown around.

“The trees obviously are going to have to be replaced. One of them was planted by a community member for the community. While the tree itself – there’s nothing special about the tree – it is sort of special in the thought that went into it.”

Constable Rob James says you can still be of help if if you can’t point out someone’s identity.

“You might be if you saw people milling about the area at a certain time of night. It might be you recall feeling uneasy about somebody in the area at that time. Just phone us up and give us a shout and we can evaluate the information from there.”

RCMP are also concerned about two garbage bin fires along the same street on September eighth.

James says anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious should contact Queens County RCMP.
