An initiative to help the Queens County Food Bank is back for another year.
The RCMP and Queens Seniors Safety will challenge residents to stuff an RCMP van on Saturday in the ‘Community Food Cruise.’
The food bank says items of particular need include ketchup, coffee, and pet food.
Cash donations are also welcome.
Constable Rob James says he’s hoping for a repeat of last year’s success.
“At one point I thought I was going to have to return to the detachment to unload the groceries I had, and think about what that takes to stuff a minivan, and come back. Luckily I was able to get them all in.”
The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m in the Liverpool Superstore parking lot.
