Radiothon Helps Raise Over $149,000 For Foundation

It was a record setting day for the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore.

The community dug deep and helped raise $149,850 in the fifth annual CKBW and Country 100.7 radiothon.

The money will go towards building a journey room for cancer patients at the regional hospital in Bridgewater.

Development officer Bernadette Jordan says it was an amazing day.

She says the support isn’t possible without the generosity of people, businesses, and community groups.

A few more fundraisers around Lunenburg County are planned to help continue raising more for the cause.

The Foundation needs $165,000 to cover the costs of building a journey room.
