Wind and rain are expected to batter the South Shore over the next 24 hours.
Rainfall and wind warnings have been issued by Environment Canada for Lunenburg, Queens, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties.
Wind gusts as high as 90 km/h are expected tonight and into Monday.
Between 25 and 40 millimetres of rain will also fall.
The weather agency says rain combined with melting snow could cause flooding in areas.
Strong winds could also cause loose objects to be tossed, causing injury or damage.
