RCMP Analyzing Unknown Items Involved In Mahone Bay Robbery

No new arrests have been made in a robbery last month at Kinburn Pharmasave in Mahone Bay.

Sgt. Mark MacPherson with Lunenburg District RCMP says approximately 20 items from a van that was seized during the Thanksgiving weekend are being tested in their lab.

MacPherson cannot say what the items are or why they are being tested.

However, he adds they are ‘significant’ in relation to the robbery and is hoping the analysis will help move the investigation forward.

Eyewitness reports indicate a woman wearing a disguise demanded pills from pharmacy workers.

She threatened to use a weapon but MacPherson says the woman did not show one.

A man and a woman were initially arrested following the October 5 incident but were released and are no longer considered suspects.

MacPherson expects the lab to take a couple weeks to analyze the items.
