RCMP in Nova Scotia is warning Barrington residents of a high-risk offender being released from a Calgary prison.
Jamie Alan Goreham has completed a sentence for sexual assaults and other offenses.
The 42 year-old has convictions dating back to 1991 in Shelburne and Yarmouth counties and has been assessed at a high risk to re-offend.
Constable Mark Skinner says his victims have included girls under the age of 14.
“Folks should be aware that he is on probation for two years and is required to follow strict conditions including any restrictions that involve contact with children under the age 16 and he must refrain from any consumption or possession of alcohol.”
Skinner says Goreham has listed Barrington as a place he could call home.
He will be released Saturday.
