RCMP Investigation Leads To More Threats Charges In Southwest NS

RCMP say a second man has been arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation into threats that were made online to Indigenous fishermen in southwestern Nova Scotia this past August.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday September 22 near a residence in Clyde River, and the RCMP had been attempting to locate a second man involved with the threats.

On Saturday, a 33-year-old Clark’s Harbour man was arrested without incident in a home in Barrington.

According to a news release, he is facing charges of two counts of Uttering Threats and one count of Breach of Probation.

He was released later that day, and is scheduled to appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on December 6, 2017.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
