The search for a missing person has come to a sad ending.
Queens District RCMP have located the body of a 49-year-old man who was reported missing on the evening of January 21.
At approximately 9 a.m. January 22, searchers located the remains of the man in Ponhook Lake and his body was recovered earlier today.
The man, who has not been named by police, left to go for an ATV ride January 21 and was last seen driving past an island on Ponhook Lake.
RCMP Air Services and Underwater Recovery Team provided assistance in the investigation.
Police say they have not made any determination on criminality at this time and the death is still under investigation.
