The Canadian Red Cross is providing support to two adults after they lost their home in a fire last night.
A woman and her adult son escaped safely from the blaze that gutter their older, two storey house on Highway 8 near Kempt.
The fire was reported around 10:30 p.m.
The two are staying with nearby relatives.
Bridgewater based volunteers helped with emergency purchases of food, winter clothing, and other basics while they await an assessment from insurers.
