The Trestle Trail bridge is up for discussion.
The Region of Queens is set to talk about the bridge’s future at its council meeting this morning.
The span has been closed since last November after a report found parts of it were deteriorating.
George Fletcher and his wife of Mersey Point used the bridge twice a day for exercise.
“We’ve cut down to once a day, there is not really a place around like the Trestle Trail to walk on.”
Some people have been using the Highway 103 overpass but Fletcher says it isn’t safe.
He says it was a great place to meet people and hopes it will re-open soon.
