Spring clean up in the Region of Queens starts April 19th.
Collection will be on the same day as your normal pick up during the weeks of April 19th to April 23rd and April 26th to April 30th.
Solid Waste Clerk, Scott LeBlanc, said items left out for pick up should be organized.
“When your putting your garbage out, try to keep thing separate,” said LeBlanc. ” Your blue bags, garbage, compost, and your clean up items should all be easily accessible because different trucks pick up different things.”
LeBlanc said items must not exceed 150 pounds and be no longer than 6 feet in length.
Items that will not be collected include:
- Leaf and yard waste
- Household hazardous waste
- Building demolition waste
- Paint cans or aerosol spray paint cans
- Propane tanks
- Tires
- Electronics
