Remembrance Day Preparations

Remembrance day is right around the corner. This weekend veterans selling poppies will appear in shops and grocery stores all over the South Shore. But Bridgewater Legion President, Sam Collicutt, says the work to make Remembrance Day happen starts long before November. “We start prepping for the Remembrance Day season in January,” he says. “Then from there it’s just waiting. Whether we find out before Remembrance Day when and if we’re going to have a fly past” Collicutt says about 20 volunteers are helping with the events this year. He says donations to the legion have been consistently growing each year.
