Thousands of people are expected to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies across the South Shore.
There are many services being held in Lunenburg County:
Chester – there will be a parade at 57 King Street at 10:50 a.m that will go to the cenotaph. Service at 11 a.m at the United Baptist Church
New Ross – Ceremony begins at 10:45 a.m at the New Ross Legion Branch #79
Mahone Bay – Fall in at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #49 at 10:15 a.m. March to the cenotaph at 10:45 a.m. then march to the Anglican Church
Lunenburg – Parade begins at 10:40 a.m from Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 followed by a ceremony at the cenotaph
Bridgewater – March at 10:45 a.m. from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 44 to the cenotaph. Service starts at 11 a.m.
New Germany – services beginning around 10:50 a.m. at cenotaph in New Germany at Epworth United Church or in Parkdale at Emmanuel Baptist Church
There will also be smaller ceremonies in Chester Basin, Western Shore, and Chelsea starting between 10 a.m and 11 a.m.
In Queens County, there are services:
Liverpool – Parade from Royal Canadian Legion Branch #38 starting at 10:30 a.m to the Astor Theatre. Service begins at 10:45 a.m.
Hunt’s Point – Service at 10:45 a.m. at the Wesley United Church
Greenfield – Ceremony at Veterans Park at 10:40 a.m.
Milton – Milton Memorial Park starting at 10:30 a.m.
In Shelburne County:
Lockeport – at the United Baptist Church at 10:45 a.m
Shelburne – at the Shelburne Fire Hall auditorium at 11 a.m. There will be a brief parade at 10:30 a.m from the Atlantic House Park to the Fire Hall prior to the service.
Barrington – at the Wesley Heritage Community Centre at 10:45 a.m.
Clark’s Harbour – at the Stone Church at 10:45 a.m.
