Resident Speaks Out Against Sherbrooke Lake Access

Some people aren’t happy with the plan to provide access to a lake in Lunenburg county.

The Sherbrooke Lake Access committee presented their plan to municipal council last week.

Greg Stokes spends six months of the year at a family property on that lake.

He says the concerns of residents aren’t being heard.

“We feel like these serious environmental concerns are being glossed over,” he says, “and, there’s a serious cost.”

He says the committee isn’t providing enough time for people to speak at the monthly meetings.

The committee says there will be an opportunity for everyone to have their say when public consultation begins in January.
