The Western Riptide were shutout in their opening game of the Female Bantam ‘AA’ Atlantic Hockey Championship in Liverpool.
The Mid-Isle Wildcats of PEI scored a 3-0 win over the host club.
Goaltender Kristen McNeil of Bridgewater was named the Riptide’s player of the game.
The Riptide will play twice on Friday; at noon versus the Central Icepak of Newfoundland and at 6 p.m versus Cole Harbour.
All games are at Queens Place Emera Centre.
