The emergency department at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne is closed for most of Friday, March 19.
The department closed at 7 a.m. and will re-open at 5 p.m.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says it due to lack of physician coverage.
Anyone needing urgent medical care is advised to call 911, or call 811 for general health advice and information.
