Roughly 202,400 Canadians Will Develop Cancer In 2016

Annual cancer rate statistics have been released by the Canadian Cancer Society for 2016.

Over 202,000 new cases of cancers are estimated to occur in Canada this year.

The report estimates those cases will result in 78,000 deaths in Canada in 2016.

Roughly 2 in 5 Canadians will develop cancer in their lifetimes with 1 in 4 dying from the disease.

More then half of all new cases will be breast, lung, prostate and colorectal cancers.
