School Board To Receive Review Letters From Public At Later Date

Some unhappy parents in Bridgewater after the school board would not make letters public in relation to the current review process.

The school options committee is recommending sending students in grade 10-12 at Bridgewater Junior-Senior High to Park View.

Chair Jennifer Naugler says the decision was based on legal advice.

“We could be seen as interfering with their work while it is still ongoing that it was suggested that we not receive those letters publicly until we received the report from the SOC.”

The committee will make that recommendation to the board on May 12.

Naugler says they will review the letters on May 19.

A final decision could be made May 24.

The board does have 30 days from the time they receive the recommendation to make a final decision.
