School is the number one cause of stress for teens in Canada.
Kids Help Phone surveyed 1,300 teenagers across the country.
Half of them worry about homework and their marks in school.
However, CEO Sharon Wood says as they get older school anxieties diminish.
“Thirteen year-olds have a much higher level of school-level stress than 18 year-olds.”
The survey found 57 percent of 13-year olds were concerned about getting good grades.
However, by the time students reach 18 that drops to 39 percent.
The survey found bullying, relationships and body image also contribute to teen anxiety.
