The search has been called off for today in Shelburne County where ground searchers and a dog team covered several kilometers of rough terrain over the weekend. They’ve been looking for Charles Cecil Slate who disappeared last Tuesday after being charged with child pornography offences. His car was discovered near the Lake John Road on Saturday, about 3 kilometers from the Lockeport Exit of Highway 103. The searchers are taking the day off after an exhaustive 12 hours of searching on Sunday. A decision will be made Tuesday morning on whether to resume the search for Slate.
