Second Story Women’s Centre Executive Coordinator Retiring

Second Story Women’s Centre is looking for someone new to lead the organization.

Jeanne Fay will retire as Executive Coordinator at the end of June after being with Second Story for four years.

Second Story’s Elisabeth Bailey says her organization had to look at how they could best provide their services.

“Second Story has long worked on a consensus model where the staff share power – and we hope to continue with that.”

Bailey says Fay’s replacement will have a new title to go with the new job, Executive Director.

The change in title reflects the need for a stronger guiding hand at the top.

“The centre has really grown quite a lot over the last few years. We’ve added staff and we’ve added grant programs and it makes sense to have a little bit stronger position to oversee all of the programs.”

Bailey says they hope to have the new Executive Director in place by mid-June to allow Fay to assist with the transition.
