Secrets to BBQing the best burgers

Today appears to be the celebration of beef. It is Brisket Day and I love to eat it, but have no idea what I am doing when it comes to cooking it, so I will leave that to the grill masters I know like Matt, haha
Now, I do often get called on to grill burgers at home and since today is also Hamburger Day, I can speak to that a bit.
The biggest thing to remember is if the burger doesn’t flip easy, it is not ready. When you attempt to flip the burger and it is stuck to the grill, just walk away and give it more time. The burger will let go of the grill as it cooks and you will be able to flip it without destroying the patty easily.
Aside from that try for a patty that is not too thick in the middle and make sure it is a bit bigger than the bun to allow for cooking shrinkage.
Always start with a hot grill and remember you can always cook the burger a bit longer, but there is no coming back from being overdone!
