People in Shelburne can meet new police officers serving their community.
Seven new RCMP members have come to the town in the last year.
Mayor Karen Mattatall says it gives people the opportunity to become familiar with police.
“It certainly increases people’s comfort level when they see officers they recognize and can actually say ‘Hi, how are you?’ “
A meet and greet has been set up Saturday at the town’s community centre/fire hall.
It will be held from 2 p.m until 4 p.m.
