A Jordan Bay man is facing assault charges after police were called to a home Sunday.
Members of Shelburne RCMP responded to a complaint of a man threatening another man with a knife at a residence on Hammond Road.
The victim, as well as an adult female and two small children left before police arrived.
No one was hurt and police arrested 24-year-old Cade Alexander Benham.
He appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court Monday to face charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
Benham was remanded into custody and will appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court again March 20.
