Federal funding will help rebuild the Guild Hall in Shelburne.
MP Gerald Keddy announcing $203,000 on behalf of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
The current hall was built in 1994 for the film, The Scarlet Letter, and was used as an events and community facility.
It is in a state of disrepair and must be shut down.
However, the new hall could be built by this time next year at the same site.
It will be used for festivals, concerts and the Shelburne Farmer’s Market.
