Shelburne: Guilty Plea In Infant Assault Case

A Shelburne County man will be sentenced in the new year for injuring his infant son in an incident nearly three years ago. Twenty-six year old Adam Harold Hogg has changed his plea to guilty on charges of aggravated assault and failing to provide the necessities of life. RCMP were called to Roseway Hospital in Shelburne on November 28, 2011 to probe what medical staff were treating as serious injuries to a 23-day-old infant. Charges were laid 18 weeks later after a police investigation – led by the major crime unit in Chester. Hogg will be sentenced in Supreme Court in Shelburne in January.
