A Shelburne County man has been found guilty of assaulting his infant son nearly five years ago.
In November 2011, Mounties were called to the Roseway Hospital in Shelburne after medical staff reported a 23 day-old baby boy had suffered serious injuries.
The man, who cannot be identified due to a publication ban, will be sentenced September 9 on charges of aggravated assault, failing to provide the necessities of life and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
He will be sentenced in Shelburne court.
