The road to the 2015 Provincial Women’s Curling Championship starts in Shelburne this weekend. Fourteen teams will compete for six spots including number one seed Mary-Anne Arsenault of Mayflower. Also in the field is Colleen Jones along with a rink of former Bridgewater natives skipped by Marlee Powers. Defending champ Heather Smith is not competing after annoucing that her team will take the year off. The 11 draw event kicks off Friday morning and wraps up Sunday. A last chance qualifier to determine the final two teams will be held early in the New Year in Bridgetown. The Nova Scotia Scotties championships will be held in Dartmouth at the end of January.
