RCMP in Shelburne are attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding two bizaare weekend incidents. Two men were seriously injured when struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning just outside of town near Exit 26 on highway 103. Both suffered serious injuries and were transferred to hospital in Halifax. A third man was injured earlier during a fight at a party in the town. He suffered serious injuries and is still recouperating. The two incidents are related but RCMP Sgt. Ben Parry says it may take some time to figure it all out. He says: “At this point we’re waiting for everyone to be released from hospital, get them back home and then sit everybody down and get all the details of what happened and what might have caused it.” Investigators have already spoken with the driver of the vehicle involved. No charges have been laid yet as the investigation continues.
